Who is responsible for your data
Fix the AI GAP is an independent editorial site operated by its author, who is the data controller for the personal data described below. For any question about personal data, including the rights listed further down, use the contact form and select "Other" as the type.
Privacy
This site measures its audience with PostHog, hosted in the European Union at eu.i.posthog.com. PostHog runs only after you accept analytics cookies through the banner; if you reject them, or have not answered yet, no PostHog script is loaded and no request is made to PostHog at all.
When it is active, PostHog records which pages are viewed, the page that referred you, the type of device and browser, and your IP address, from which an approximate location at country and region level is derived. It stores a pseudonymous identifier so that several page views in the same visit can be counted as one visit. Session recording is switched off. The purpose is audience measurement for an editorial site; the data is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes. The legal basis is your consent under article 6.1.a GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time through the cookie preferences link in the footer.
Netlify, the hosting provider, may log basic server request data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) as part of standard infrastructure operation. That data is governed by Netlify's privacy policy. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Submissions made through the contact form are handled by Tally, a third-party form service. Tally's handling of form data is governed by Tally's privacy policy. Submissions are not shared with other third parties and are used solely to respond to the sender or act on the submission.
If you have accepted analytics cookies and you then submit the contact form, the email address you gave in the form is sent to PostHog and attached to the pseudonymous identifier described above. From that point the record of pages you viewed on this site, including those viewed before you wrote, is associated with your email address rather than with an anonymous identifier. If you rejected analytics cookies, this does not happen: PostHog is not loaded and your submission reaches Tally only. To have that association removed, use the contact form and select "Other" as the type.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored on your device by a website. This site uses two, and only one of them requires your consent.
When you first arrive, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting, and nothing is stored or sent until you choose. Continuing to read the site is not consent. You can change your answer at any time through the cookie preferences link in the footer; withdrawing consent stops the analytics and deletes the cookie it had set. Your answer is remembered for twelve months, after which the banner asks again.

Opening the contact form loads the Tally widget, which may set its own cookies on tally.so at that point. The form is only loaded when you open it.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form and select "Other" as the type.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es.
