Bahrain iGA AI Talent Program produces 143 graduates across first two cohorts

The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) launched the AI Talent Program in June 2025, enrolling cohorts of approximately 14 ICT students from leading universities in six-month intensive training combining academic instruction and hands-on AI development. 143 graduates across the first two cohorts have secured technical roles.

Who it affects: ICT university students in Bahrain; a narrow specialist cohort rather than the general workforce.

What is notably missing: The programme is a small-scale specialist initiative; no general AI literacy requirement for the wider workforce is established. No binding employer training obligation or pre-redundancy AI training requirement is attached.
