An EU-funded AI Skills Academy will launch in 2026 offering training and fellowships in AI and generative AI. The initiative aligns with the Commission’s Union of Skills programme and the 2030 Roadmap on future digital education and skills (due Q3 2026). The roadmap includes a new STEM education strategic plan emphasising women’s participation and a skills portability initiative. The Academy complements the ELEVATE programme (European League of Advanced Digital Skills Academies) funded through the Digital Europe Programme’s ninth call at EUR 204 million.
