Connecticut expands AI postsecondary training through Tech Talent Accelerator 3.0

Governor Lamont announced Phase 3 of Connecticut’s Tech Talent Accelerator (TTA 3.0) in February 2026, funding AI skills integration at seven public and independent colleges and universities. Participating institutions are embedding AI competencies across disciplines including accounting, entrepreneurship, nursing, healthcare business innovation, and manufacturing — not only technical degrees. The programme is state-funded and represents a deliberate effort to expand AI literacy beyond STEM fields to the broader workforce. This is a higher-education and workforce initiative, not a K-12 curriculum mandate.

Scoring note: Dimension 1 receives support (AI literacy present in state-funded postsecondary programmes), reinforcing a score of 1. No binding school curriculum mandate exists, so dim 2 remains 0.
