The Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN) is a statewide coordination system anchored by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College that aligns community colleges, universities, K-12 schools, government, and industry within one framework for practical AI workforce readiness. MAIN provides free workforce AI courses using Intel’s AI for Workforce curriculum, covering topics including Introduction to AI, Generative AI, Applied Ethics for AI, AI for Cybersecurity, and AI for Sustainability.

MAIN supports AI education and workforce training across all educational levels and serves as the backbone for Mississippi’s broader AI workforce strategy. The network facilitates knowledge sharing and industry alignment, ensuring that training programs reflect actual workforce demands.

The free courses through MAIN represent a significant public investment in accessible AI literacy resources and demonstrate a coordinated approach to ensuring Mississippi’s workforce can compete in AI-enabled sectors.
