Brandenburg is one of three federal states — alongside Schleswig-Holstein and Bremen — participating in the cross-state AIS (Adaptive Intelligent Systems) project under the DigitalPakt Schule framework, through which the telli AI chatbot is being rolled out to schools. Telli is a free, data-protection-compliant AI chatbot interface developed by the FWU media institute, providing school staff and students access to AI tools for pedagogical use. This makes Brandenburg part of a coordinated, publicly funded AI literacy infrastructure for schools, with the telli platform available at no cost via the DigitalPakt framework. No binding AI curriculum mandate exists at the Brandenburg state level.
