The Hessian State Ministry of Education has published a guidance document (“Handreichung”) on the use of artificial intelligence in school teaching, designed to help schools leverage AI’s potential while preparing students for digital opportunities and challenges. Both Hessian media centres and the Hessian Teacher Academy (Hessische Lehrkräfteakademie) have significantly expanded their AI training offerings in 2025–26. The guidance covers AI’s influence on learning and didactics, with a focus on human-centred implementation and adaptation of examination formats. These resources are provided free of charge to Hessian schools through state education infrastructure. Access to telli is also available in Hessen as part of the national DigitalPakt Schule AIS project.
