Fondazione di Sardegna allocates €1.5M for AI-inclusive digital education grants to Sardinian secondary schools

The Fondazione di Sardegna approved a total allocation of €1.5 million across two calls for Sardinian schools: “Educazione al digitale – Tech Education 2026” (third edition) and the new “Tech-up!” call. The “Tech Education 2026” call targets lower and upper secondary schools in Sardinia, supporting innovative teaching projects focused on STEAM skills, ethical and conscious use of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence, foreign languages, and entrepreneurship. Applications were open from 16 February to 13 March 2026. The programme explicitly includes AI education as a core theme and introduces teacher training components to support the spread of innovative teaching practices. Projects are selected competitively and funded by the private foundation, making AI-inclusive digital education resources available to schools across the island without direct government mandate.
