Karnataka’s Department of Higher Education hosted the two-day Campus to Career Summit 2026 (15–16 May) at Bengaluru, attended by over 60 leaders including ministers, IAS officers, and industry representatives. The state unveiled a Vision 2030 roadmap for AI-enabled, industry-focused higher education, with commitments to develop SOPs for ethical AI use in universities, expand the SCOUT 2.0 programme with the British Council, launch a statewide AI Course for Students with Head Held High Foundation, and integrate employability and green skills across colleges. Multiple strategic agreements were signed, and the Additional Chief Secretary outlined plans for a new Innovation Centre at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The summit signals a policy shift toward mandatory AI integration in tertiary curricula, building on Karnataka’s existing school-level Shiksha Co-Pilot deployment.
