The Secretaría de Educación de Guanajuato (SEG) hosted the “Hora de la IA” webinar on 12 March 2026, reaching more than 150 educators with content on responsible and educational use of artificial intelligence. The session offered access to over 30 Spanish-language AI activities spanning multiple educational levels. This state-led teacher professional development event builds on the existing CercanIA and UNESCO ethics roadmap initiatives and confirms ongoing, state-organised AI training for teaching staff — though it remains voluntary and event-based rather than a mandated, standardised training programme.
