The EUR 1 billion Apply AI Strategy will launch a call for expression of interest in Q2 2026 inviting European companies to share AI models with Digital Innovation Hubs. An AI Observatory will be established in Q2 2026 to monitor AI impact across sectors. The strategy targets ten strategic sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, agri-food, and energy. A European AI Innovation Month is scheduled for 14 October to 17 November 2026. The strategy focuses on sector-level AI adoption rather than individual literacy, but the Digital Innovation Hub component creates public access infrastructure.
