Chile presented its updated National AI Policy approved by Decree No. 12 and introduced legislation (Boletín 16821-19) regulating AI systems. The ten-year governance framework prioritises human rights, social equity, and environmental sustainability. The AI Action Plan commits 14 ministries to 177 initiatives, with over 100 scheduled for implementation by 2026. MINEDUC released comprehensive teacher guidance on integrating generative AI into classroom practice and is updating curriculum bases from preschool through secondary level.
