As part of the February 2026 CanNor $2.8 million announcement covering Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, and the Yukon, a Yukon project by DeltaVue Inc. received funding to develop AI software for interpreting and standardising sensor data from various northern industries, converting sensor inputs into a unified format compatible with existing AI systems. The ICTC Digital Youth Ambassadors initiative for 2025–26 is also open to candidates from all Canadian territories including Yukon. While the Yukon-specific CanNor project is primarily technology-economic in nature rather than public AI literacy, the broader federal investment demonstrates a commitment to AI capacity-building in the territory.
