The Comunidad de Madrid launched the public consultation phase (consulta pública del anteproyecto) for its first Ley de Administración Digital e Inteligencia Artificial in November 2025. The law aims to establish a framework for the ethical and secure use of AI in regional government services. As of the filing date the law is in pre-draft stage (consulta pública); no binding provisions or enforcement mechanism are yet in force. This does not yet create a named AI regulatory body with legal mandate, but signals the region’s intent to legislate on AI governance independently from the national AESIA framework.
