The Generalitat Valenciana, through the Department of Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Commerce, launched a competitive grants programme providing nearly 600,000 euros to fund AI and disruptive technology training for regional professionals and businesses. The call was published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) with a submission deadline of 4 May 2026, and all activities must be completed by 31 October 2026.

The programme covers training in artificial intelligence, Big Data, 5G, Internet of Things, and blockchain. Eligible providers can receive grants covering up to 90% of eligible costs, capped at 30,000 euros per training activity. The main objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of Valencia’s business and professional sector in the digital era, facilitating the adoption of AI tools and knowledge for digital transformation across the regional economy.

This grant programme represents dedicated public funding for AI workforce training beyond education — it directly targets professionals and businesses and operates at the subregional level through Valencian government budget. It strengthens existing evidence for dimension 5 (dedicated funding for AI literacy/training) and dimension 13 (publicly funded AI literacy resources for the general population and workforce), building on the ValgrAI Foundation and Digital-IA programmes already in place.
