Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) announced on 11 May 2026 the launch of 20,000 online training courses under the National AI Advancement Initiative (NAIAI). The six-to-twelve-month programmes target fresh graduates, teachers, freelancers, government officials, civil servants, and corporate executives. Courses cover machine learning, deep learning, and AI ethics; AI literacy modules are specifically included for civil servants and corporate leaders.
MoITT has invited professional training companies to design the courses to meet local and international standards. The initiative aligns with the National AI Policy 2025 goal of training one million people in AI-related skills by 2030. The programme does not impose a legal employer obligation but represents a substantial publicly funded upskilling drive. Participants receive government-recognised certifications.
The NAIAI builds on the existing AI Seekho 2026 (Google partnership) and the broader $1 billion AI investment commitment announced at Indus AI Week 2026.
