On 26 February 2026, Governor Maura Healey announced a statewide partnership with Grow with Google offering all Massachusetts residents free access to Google AI and career certificate training programs through at least the end of 2027. The programs — including the Google AI Professional Certificate and career tracks in cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital marketing — are administered by the Massachusetts AI Hub (MA AI Hub), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech). The offer covers courses normally priced at $49/month, making structured AI literacy training freely available to the general public. This is a state-funded public access initiative, not a binding obligation on residents or employers.
