RobotsMali is a civil society organization dedicated to training and innovation in robotics and artificial intelligence, working to democratize access to emerging technologies in Mali and West Africa. Since 2021, RobotsMali has organized IndabaX Mali conferences reaching more than a thousand students, entrepreneurs, and teachers, promoting skill development and opportunities in AI. The organization focuses on using AI for socioeconomic development of Mali and Africa, with initiatives to improve learning with literacy tools in African languages, develop advanced translation and voice recognition models for local languages, and support startups and young entrepreneurs. RobotsMali’s approach is grassroots and community-driven rather than government-led.
